Colby Cottage Garden
Colby, KS

Beverly and Curt Eicher have created a bit of Merry Olde England on the plains of Northwest Kansas. The garden is designed to be in bloom through most of the growing season. Perennials, self-seeding annuals, and a wide variety of herbs make up the majority of the plants, with a bit of room for a kitchen garden and a strawberry patch. On this final garden visit of our series, Skip finds further proof in her belief that gardens and gardeners are often a family affair, a tie that binds through generations.
