HPPR welcomes Dalhart, TX at 89.3 FM

KTDH, 89.3 FM is now on the air providing public radio service for the first time to Dalhart, TX and surrounding Dallam and Hartley counties of the northwest Texas panhandle.  HPPR thanks and congratulates everyone in the Dalhart community who has made this station possible, especially  Scot and Sylvia Renick, Jim McDaniel and Sherry Hanshew, Gerald Burney and Dean Graham.  We look forward to serving everyone in the Dalhart community for years to come.

The establishment of KDTH,89.3 FM follows in a long tradition of grass-roots efforts -- dating back to 1977 -- to provide public radio service as an educational, cultural and civic resource to local communities across the High Plains.  And it follows in the same pioneering tradition -- reaching back well over 100 years -- of establishing good schools, libraries and civic organizations and other public resources to serve and build our communities.

The station is also part of High Plains Public Radio's commitment dating back to 1997 to bring public radio service to all of the Texas Panhandle.  With KTDH, HPPR now serves 20 counties of the Panhandle, along with 58 more counties across four more states of the High Plains region, through 21 FM stations.  For further information about all of HPPR’s FM station’s serving the High Plains, including KDTH, click here.  To view HPPR’s complete program schedule, click here.
