If Texas were its own country, it would be one of the top producing nations in the world reported State Impact Texas. When you take a look, almost the entire state has some degree of oil production.
The map shows oil production from June 2012 to June 2013. It reveals the most intense production came from the Eagle Ford Shale and Permian Basin regions.
The data used to create the map is from the Railroad Commission of Texas’ data query feature.
