Over 3,000 Voters Cancel Registrations Following Trump Election Commission's Request for Voter Info

Several thousand Colorado voters have canceled their registrations since President Donald Trump’s election integrity commission, headed by Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, requested voter information earlier this month.

As The Denver Post reports, almost 3,400 voters canceled their voter registrations as of July 13, following the Trump administration’s request for voter information.

The withdrawals began shortly after Kobach requested voter date from all 50 states in a letter that requested voters’ first, last and middle names or initials, addresses, dates of birth, political party affiliations, the last four digits of social security numbers and voter history information from 2006 onward.

Colorado voters who canceled their registrations gave county election officials two reasons for doing so: a lack of trust for the voter integrity commission and realizing how much of their voter registration information was already public under state law.
