Travelers across the High Plains often say there's nothing to see as you travel across this great expanse. A recent article in The Wichita Eagle gave a list of 105 things to see in the state of Kansas that would argue that perception.
Marci Penner might disagree with that thought as well. She is a go-to person for discovering what to see and do in Kansas. Penner, the Executive Director of The Kansas Sampler Foundation, has visited every community in Kansas conducting research for her book, "The Kansas Guidebook for Explorers." Together with her father, Milferd Penner, she has written three guidebooks to help explorers discover Kansas.
