TUNED IN: HPPR To Present Holiday Classic 'A Christmas Carol'

I’m so excited to share some big news with you! This holiday season High Plains Public Radio will present  – and BROADCAST LIVE from the Chamber Music Amarillo's Fibonacci Space on Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m.  – an exclusive, live performance of the timeless classic, Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

It will be quite the production! Directed by Linda Hughes and performed by the talented Amarillo College Conservatory Theater Adult Acting Class, we’re thrilled to be able to transmit it live across our entire five-state region. The broadcast will also air a number of times during the holidays.

Impressive Pipe Organ Makes Debut At Amarillo Church Next Weekend

On Saturday, Nov. 17 at 5 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church of Amarillo will host the public debut of its new pipe organ with a free concert featuring world-traveled concert organist Ken Cowan.

The organ is said to be one of the 50th largest in the world.
