KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at very reduced power and signal range using a back-up transmitter. This is because of complicated problems with its very old primary transmitter. Local engineers are currently working on that transmitter and consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR mix service or HPPR connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

U.S. Attorney to Oversee Kansas Elections

KSN

The U.S. Attorney’s Office plans to monitor election complaints in Kansas, KSN reports.

On election day, a federal prosecutor will be on duty to respond to complaints of possible election fraud and voting rights violations in Kansas. A phone number is available (913-551-6730) for concerned citizens to call if they suspect election fraud on November 8th. Assistant U.S. Attorney Leon Patton  will be responding to voter concerns and complaints throughout the day.

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach insists that Kansas has one of the most secure election systems in the country. But, he adds, he does not want monitors physically at locations in the form of police or officers. “There should be a feeling of freedom and accessibility,” said Kobach. “So, generally, we don’t have armed guards at polling places or anything like that. And we’d like to keep that tradition intact.” U.S. Attorney Tom Beall said he does not expect any problems on election day.
