Art in the Park
Please join Garden City Arts as we celebrate the 57th year of Art in the Park in Garden City, Kansas! Fine artists and craftsmen will have their products on display in Stevens Park from 9th AM - 4 PM on Saturday, June 28th. During the festival you will also find live musical and visual performances, free arts and crafts projects for the entire family, amazing food, and more! Find a description of all of the highlights of this year's festival below:
*Fine Arts & Crafts Vendors*
An assortment of fine arts and fine craft vendors will be set up throughout the park selling their unique, handmade items. Stay tuned to this event page as Garden City Arts will be posting daily highlights of the artists who will be attending this year starting on June 1st.
*Demo Tent*
Throughout the day we will have local artists demonstrating different art forms. Last year we had yarn spinners, potters, paper mache artists and painters showing off their skills.
*ARTapalooza*
ARTapalooza is located on the west side of the park and houses all of the children/family activities. You will find art inspired carnival games, face painting, and take-home projects for kids of all ages!
* Spark in the Park *
Great Plains Maker Space will have their makers fair set up in the Southwest corner of Stevens Park.
*Red Dog Children's Museum*
Red Dog Children's Museum will have their traveling museum set up on the west side of the park. Enjoy a variety of activities with your children.
*Photo-op Gallery*
Take a walk down our photo-op gallery and you'll find numerous photo opportunities for the whole family! Strike your best pose as you interact with some favorites from art history.
*Table & Picnic Area*
Bring a blanket or set down at one of the tables provided and enjoy a wide selection of food from the food trucks set up along Hero's Way.
*Food Trucks *
A variety of food trucks will be set up along Hero's Way on the south side of Stevens Park.
