Ascha Lee

Ascha is a senior at Wichita State University, where she studies journalism and psychology. Originally hailing from Pratt, Kansas, Ascha has loved every minute of Wichita life since moving here for school back in 2015.

Fascinated with the art of multimedia content production, Ascha is delighted with the opportunity to experience firsthand the authentic, ever-curious nature of KMUW. Ascha is passionate about storytelling, culture, learning, and coffee. After graduating, she hopes to build a career that allows her to help others fall in love with knowledge and feel connected to the world around them.

At WSU, Ascha is a reporter for The Sunflower. She also serves as the Administrative Vice President of her sorority. When she’s not on campus or behind the front desk at KMUW, Ascha enjoys road trips, photography, cooking, and spending time with her cat, Louie.

Spirit AeroSystems announced Wednesday it will add 1,400 new jobs over the course of the next year.


Wichita will soon be home to the world’s largest mural painted by a single artist.


The mural is on the east side of the Beachner grain elevator on 21st Street. It’s visible west of I-135 as well as westbound K-96.
