Brush Up: Amarillo Art Institute—Call to Artists for Two Spring Exhibits

Today on High Plains Morning, we heard from Rachel Flores, Executive Director at the Amarillo Art Institute (AAI), about two upcoming exhibits in the Texas Panhandle this Spring. So if you’re an artist and want to submit your work, mark your calendar! There will be an exhibit hosted by The Art Center in Dumas, Texas in March. The works on display will be from students, members, and instructors of AAI. The deadline to submit is March 5 at 5:00 p.m. CT, and the opening reception will be March 28, 2-4 p.m. CT. Anyone can submit work, as all are welcome to link up with the AAI community. Submissions can also be made online, if you’re not able to be there in person; the deadline to deliver accepted submissions is March 17 at 5:00 p.m. CT. The work will be on display through April.

There is also an upcoming exhibit being coordinated in partnership with the Cerulean Gallery, now located in the lobby at the Embassy Suites in Amarillo (550 S. Buchanan). The reception will take place for that opening on April 10th, with the exhibit remaining on display through June.

For more information, contact Rachel at 806-354-8802 or online via email.
