Brian DeLay (PhD, Harvard, 2004) is a professor of history at the University of California at Berkeley. His research interests include the American West; 19th-century Americas; transnational history; US-Mexico Borderlands; Native American History; and International Arms Trade. His publications include the award-winning War of a Thousand Deserts and the edited collection North American Borderlands.
