FogelEarth Music Festival: Saturday at Wildcat Bluff in Amarillo

Today is Arbor Day, so what better weekend to celebrate the planet? Come to Wildcat Bluff Nature Center TOMORROW as they hold the FogelEarth Music Festival 2019.  It’s Saturday, April 27th from noon to 8 pm. Admission for the day is FREE, but donations are gratefully accepted. Buddy Squyres & Johnny Reverb stopped by High Plains Morning to share some tunes and encourage everyone to come out and support Wildcat Bluff. On Saturday, you can enjoy live music, activities, hikes, food trucks (including D Bucks BBQ), speakers, and vendors.

Celebrate the earth with great music and friends of nature from across the Texas Panhandle. Wildcat Bluff Nature Center is located at 2301 N. Soncy Rd. in Amarillo. Click here for the full event listing. Here’s the breakdown for the day’s events:

Live music (12-8p): The folks that created Friends of Fogelberg are bringing us music from the stage all afternoon and evening! Bring a chair, a blanket, BYO snacks/drinks, and enjoy some of your favorite local artists: Young Country, Johnny Reverb Quartet, Coliche Dust Bowl, Joe Ed Coffman, Erthlings, The Duo-Jackets, and David Altman.

Speakers & vendors (12-5p):  JakobTree will distribute a FREE Red Oak seedling to the first 500 guests, provided by Wildcat Bluff. Presentations will include: Creek House Honey Farm; The Wild Hanburys & their reptiles; & Dr. Jean Stuntz (WTAMU). There will also be dog adoptions on site from Gracie's Project, so you can give a good home to your new best friend and so much more. Plus, visit with Porter Recycling to see how you can impact our landfills by recycling some of your trash.

Guided hikes (3p): Nature walk and talk led by Rick Todd.

Plus! Their new neighbors at WildWest Wildlife Rehab are also hosting their grand opening from 11a-3p—and they’re just down the road!   Come on out and have fun at both!
