On today's Growing on the High Plains, I'm serving up some Thanksgiving reflections on this year's gardening season. There has been so much for which we are thankful, including the bounty of High Plains rain since Spring.
On this holiday week, we are grateful for the glorious splashes of bright colors, the smart choice that spared us lawn maintenance, and willing takers for unexpected harvest overage. We're also thankful for a life surrounded by sunflowers, sweet corn, and a mindful menagerie protecting our prairie home.
I hope your holiday is as full as ours, and that you take this time to reflect on your own bounty. Have a peaceful Thanksgiving.
