The U.S. Department of Education has released a first-ever list detailing state-by-state four-year high school graduation rates from the 2010-2011 academic year using a common, more rigorous measure. Based on this new methodology, Texas had a graduation rate of 88%, Kansas 83% and Colorado just 74%. No data was reported for Oklahoma. Iowa had the highest rate at 88%.
