KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at 15% of power, limiting its signal strength and range in the Amarillo-Canyon area. This due to complicated problems with its very old transmitter. Local engineers are continuing to work on the transmitter and are consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR Mix service or HPPR Connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

With "Man of La Mancha," Amarillo Opera Entertains While Asking Big Questions

Amarillo Opera

Amarillo Opera will have one final showing this evening of its spring offering, Man of La Mancha. The opera company is thrilled to have Nacogdoches native Ron Raines in the title role. Raines has established himself as a force on Broadway, while also performing with such venerable institutions as San Francisco Opera, Dallas Opera, Houston Grand Opera, and Santa Fe Opera.

Man of La Mancha is a musical retelling of the story of Don Quixote, a would-be knight and eternal optimist who makes a hallucinatory journey through a cynical world, with his companion Sancho Panza by his side.

Amarillo Opera will close out its season next month with Musica Variada, a performance showcasing "Hispanic artists in concert, demonstrating a variety of musical styles from classical to pop."
