KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at very reduced power and signal range using a back-up transmitter. This is because of complicated problems with its very old primary transmitter. Local engineers are currently working on that transmitter and consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR mix service or HPPR connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

Did you know that Oklahoma is the only state to have an official state meal?

As Cowboys and Indians tells us, the meal—which is actually more of a gut-busting cornucopia of awesomeness—was approved by the Oklahoma legislature in 1988. The meal is a showcase for cuisine from all over the Sooner State, but scarfing down the whole smorgasbord is going to require a bit of driving.

The feast includes: Chicken fried steak from June’s Restaurant in Checotah, biscuits with sausage and gravy from Jimmy’s Round-Up Café in Oklahoma City, cornbread from Oklahoma City’s Big Sky Bread Company, corn from Gonzalez Mexican Restaurant in Tishomingo, fried okra and barbecue pork from Durant’s Main Street Barbecue, squash from Sisserou’s Caribbean Restaurant in Tulsa, grits from Ozzie’s Diner in Norman, and strawberries from Stilwell’s Annual Strawberry Festival.

Then, if you’re still alive, finish things off with a slice of pecan pie from Field's Pies in Pauls Valley.
