The 2nd annual Bad Poetry Competition is back, so I asked Dr. Matthew Harrison and WT student Haven Jock to stop in and share some insight and delightfully “bad” poetry. The contest goes down this Thursday night at 6 p.m., so start collecting and composing your most banal, smarmy and glib emotions into bite-sized prose for the masses. It’s presented by West Texas A&M University’s Department of English, Philosophy, and Modern Languages at the Sybil B. Harrington FAC Recital Hall at WT (Russell Long Blvd. at 25th St. in Canyon, TX). Come join this celebration of bad poems! Again, it’s this Thursday night at 6pm. Please tell your buddies—and if you’re brave, write and read a BAD POEM OF YOUR OWN . One night only, folks. It’s the WT Bad Poetry Competition. For more info, contact Dr. Matthew Harrison at mharrison@wtamu.edu.
