This week on High Plains Morning, we talked to Amarillo artist (and newly-appointed early education instructor) Kegan Hollis about his forthcoming exhibit, “Invisible Iconography” at the Invisible Genie Gallery (321 SW 7th Ave., Amarillo) on Friday, April 2nd from 8:00 to 11:00 pm CT. One of the first exhibits of 2021 featuring independent regional artists in the Texas Panhandle, Kegan said this show “pulls inspiration from the imprints on every day industrial items.” To preserve social-distancing protocols and put health first, the indoor gallery will limit the number of viewers allowed in the space at one time, but there will also be an outdoor space with vintage clothing for sale, an area to peruse local “zines,” and enjoy refreshments.
