MORE ABOUT THE KATIE YOUNG FOSTER: Katie grew up in the Sandhills of Nebraska. She was the 2016-17 Creative Writing Fellow at The Curb Center in Nashville, TN, where she led expressive writing workshops for individuals impacted by cancer. Currently she teaches at West Texas A&M University. Her stories have appeared or are forthcoming in The Masters Review Anthology V, Arcadia, Day One, Booth, The New Territory, The Boiler Journal, SmokeLong Quarterly, and elsewhere. She is the winner of The Masters Review Anthology contest judged by Amy Hempel, and has been recognized by DISQUIET International Literary Program in Lisbon, Portugal and Arcadia Magazine’s Dead Bison Editors’ Prize in Fiction and the Zoetrope: All-Story Short Fiction contest. She holds an M.F.A. from Vanderbilt University.
