Based in the Texas Panhandle, The DustJackets are a fluid combo of multi-instrumentalist Americana songwriters who blend elements of multiple genres into song-stories about change, magic, neon, diesel engines, radio towers, pie, and more.

Amy Coffman & Larry Martin were bassist & lead guitarist of one of the first Americana bands in Dallas, and were frequent performers at the iconic Poor David’s Pub and Uncle Calvin’s Coffeehouse. They began performing as a duo in 2010 & have toured the Southwest four times. The DustJackets now include Matthew Williams on drums. These three enjoy few things more than sharing their brand of quirky, literate Americana with new listeners.

“The music Amy & Larry make is akin to a locomotive grooving down the track. The songs are moody and compelling while at the same time staying upbeat--bringing to mind Dire Straits. Nothing frantic in this music, just melodic and satisfying forward motion and great lyrics.” —Celeste Krenz.

Jenny Inzerillo joined HPPR in 2015 as the host of High Plains Morning, our live music program that airs weekdays at 9 am to noon CST. Broadcasting from KJJP in beautiful downtown Amarillo, she helps listeners wake up with inspired music from our region and beyond. Tune in for new voices in folk/Americana, deep cuts from your favorite artists, soulful tracks from singer/songwriters across the world, and toe-tapping classics dating as far back as the 1920s. Plus, discover underground greats that just might be your new favorite band.
