KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at 15% of power, limiting its signal strength and range in the Amarillo-Canyon area. This due to complicated problems with its very old transmitter. Local engineers are continuing to work on the transmitter and are consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. New Episode of "Classical Music Amarillo" Airs This Sunday at 12p CT

We're spending an hour with the Amarillo Symphony exploring the exotic and extraordinary this week on Classical Music Amarillo. Works include Aaron Copland's "Quiet City," as well as “Aconcagua: Concerto for Bandoneon" by Astor Piazzola. Kimbo Ishii-Eto conducts these exciting performances recorded live in October, 2016.

As the host of Open Range, Steve Johnson brings a lifetime of hearing and performing a wide variety of music to this unique program. Growing up in a home where everything from opera to Bill Evans and the Beatles were heard and embraced, he studied piano in college where he became passionate about free-form radio where you might hear everything from punk rock to classic country or jazz in the course of a few hours.
