Another controversial billboard has appeared in Amarillo, this time in support of President Trump’s efforts to build a wall along the border with Mexico.

As KVII reports, the electronic billboard, which reads simply “” and features a picture of President Trump giving a thumbs up, is located on the north side of I-40 across from Westgate Mall.

Last week, the Texas Panhandle was abuzz about a billboard. The sign didn’t mince words, simply asking “LIBERALS" to "please continue on I-40 until you have left our Great State of Texas.”

In an editorial in The Amarillo Globe-News, Jon Mark Beilue called the sign, “childish and immature, noting that the sign only “add[ed] to the division in the country.”

After the backlash, the sign was promptly taken down.

Amarillo held citywide elections this weekend, and according to for the first time in 70 years, all incumbent candidates on the City Council were defeated.

Amarilloans head to the polls tomorrow to cast their votes in city-wide elections.

According to The Amarillo Globe-News, early-voting turnout has been stronger this election than in the last three Amarillo elections.

Amarillo has a big election coming up on May 6th, reports, and the city will be choosing a new mayor and selecting a city council.
