New information is available concerning Colorado’s snowpack and reservoir levels. The Prowers Journal reportsthat the state’s water supply is in good shape. The information comes from a report released last week by the Natural Resources Conservation Service. According to the Colorado Water Supply Outlook Report, collective snowpack and reservoir levels for the state remain above average. Almost all of Colorado’s eight river basins also sit at above normal levels.
Statewide, snowpack levels are at 112 percent above average, while reservoir levels are 110 percent above their historic levels.
When it comes to snowpack levels, the San Juan, Gunnison, and Colorado river basins look to be the strongest in the state. Meanwhile, the Arkansas and Yampa river basins have the highest reservoir levels compared to their historic averages.
