Black Hills Energy Purchases Stretch of SW Kansas Pipeline

Black Hills Energy has purchased a natural gas transmission pipeline in southwest Kansas from Anadarko Natural Gas Co., reports The Garden City Telegram.The Kansas natural gas utility closed on the sale this week of the 37-mile length of pipeline.

The pipeline carries enough gas to supply the equivalent of 725 residential customers. Black Hills serves 113,000 customers in Goodland, Lawrence, Wichita and southwest Kansas. This stretch of pipeline will be added on to 50 miles of pipe previously purchased from Anadarko, so that the company now provides service to customers along a total of 87 miles of previously inaccessible pipeline.
