The economy in Nebraska appears to be going strong, according to a new study. Economic growth in the Cornhusker State is expected to continue through the rest of the year, reports the Lincoln Journal-Star.

The economic information comes from a new report by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Nebraska’s economy boomed in June, and that rise came after sharp increases in March and April. The rising numbers are being fueled by increases in manufacturing hours and airline passenger counts. A drop in unemployment insurance claims has also driven the surge.

Economist Eric Thompson, director of the Bureau of Business Research at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, explained: “The rapid increase in June indicates that Nebraska will be able to maintain strong economic growth through the rest of 2016.”
