As we march past a full year of pandemic anxiety, it’s refreshing to know that some improvements have been made to a return to community arts. As the partner of a native New Yorker, I’m always excited to make an annual pilgrimage to Lincoln Center for a dose of music and theatre.
Today’s Growing on the High Plains will cover a recent innovation made to the venue’s outdoor area. “The Green,” designed by Mimi Lien, provides a soy-based faux grass, softer than “Astroturf” and perfect for an open-air enjoyment of the arts. It opened on May 10th, and it will be installed through September. Click here for more information and to see the plaza.
