Kansas lawmakers resume session this week

Stephen Koranda

Kansas lawmakers are set to resume the 2014 legislative session this week after taking almost a month off.  They still have some work to do according a recent report from Kansas Public Radio.

A two-year budget was passed last year, so that won’t need their attention; however they at least need to finish a spending plan for the Kansas Department of Corrections.  That section was vetoed by the governor. They will also work on other issues during the so-called veto session before they leave for the year.
