High Plains Senators Ranked According to Approval Polls

A polling group has published a list of the least and most popular senators, according to their home-state approval ratings. Bernie Sanders, the Vermont socialist Democrat, holds the highest approval rating according to The Rural Blog.

Among High Plains states, Texas senator John Cornyn falls near the bottom at number 82 out of 100. Presidential contender Ted Cruz is in the middle of the pack at number 49, slightly ahead of Oklahoma senator James Lankford at 51 and Oklahoma’s James Inhofe at 55. Both of Kansas’s senators polled very poorly, falling near the bottom at numbers 94 and 95. Colorado’s Michael Bennet did slightly better, at number 90. And Colorado’s Cory Gardner came in at number 75.

Morning Consult polledalmost 80 thousand respondents in all 50 states.
