Marshall Vs Huelskamp Race Descends Into Squabbling

The campaign for a Kansas seat in the US House of Representatives is heating up,reports The Hutchinson News.U.S. Rep. Tim Huelskamp’s seat is up for grabs in November, and both he and challenger Roger Marshall issued statements last week accusing the other candidate of lying.

It all had to do with a recent National Journal story. The Marshall campaign says the story revealed that Huelskamp has been lying about securing a future spot on the House Agriculture Committee. In response, a spokesman for Huelskamp’s campaign blasted back: “Roger Marshall is lying again. He makes the outrageous claim that he’s a farmer despite the fact he’s a multi-millionaire hospital CEO who has made millions from healthcare.”

Marshall, who loves in Great Bend, is indeed a doctor who also owns agricultural interests. Huelskamp owns residences in both Hutchinson and Fowler, and also owns farm interests.
