Bob Dole Scolds Kansas Rep. Tim Huelskamp on Twitter

Kansas congressman Tim Huelskamp received a stern Twitter rebuke from elder Kansas statesman Bob Dole this week, reports The Hutchinson News.

From his @SenatorDole account, the former presidential candidate tweeted: “I've been keeping an eye on the First District congressional race in Kansas. I would suggest the current congressman focus on the issues rather than misleading attacks on his primary opponent.” In response Huelskamp’s opponent, congressional candidate Roger Marshall, tweeted: “Thank you, Senator. Couldn't agree more.”

Huelskamp recently ran a TV ad about a criminal case from 2008, in which Marshall injured a Barton County man in a traffic accident. Marshall and the injured man later reached an out-of-court settlement.
