In Show of Confidence, Clinton Camp Scales Back Colorado Ad Buy

Hillary Clinton’s campaign is scaling back its efforts in Colorado, according to Politico. The move comes as Democrats grow increasingly confident that the battleground state will go blue in November.

The scale-back was announced by Priorities USA Action, the main super PAC supporting Hillary Clinton's presidential bid. The group believes those funds would be more effectively spent in more competitive swing states. The super PAC will now delay its ads in the Denver and Colorado Springs markets until Aug. 16.

Clinton has visited Colorado multiple times during this general election season. She leads Donald Trump by 8 points in recent Colorado polls. Trump has struggled to gain traction in Colorado. The situation was exacerbated after Trump got into a battle of words with the Colorado Springs Fire Marshall last week.
