Beto O’Rourke To Visit Amarillo On Tuesday

US Senate Candidate Beto O’Rourke will make an appearance in Amarillo on Tuesday night. O’Rourke, who is challenging Senator Ted Cruz for his seat, is hosting an event called “Beers with Beto” at Six Car Pub and Brewery, on 7th and Polk in downtown Amarillo. The visit is part of a 34-day drive across Texas for the young Congressman from West Texas.

Previous to his Amarillo visit, O’Rourke will visit Lubbock, Muleshoe and Seminole.

After Amarillo, O’Rourke will continue on to Pampa, Childress and Wichita Falls. O’Rourke’s current tour follows up the Congressman’s travels to all 254 counties of Texas.

O’Rourke’s grassroots campaign has attracted nationwide interest, as the Democrat has now outraised his opponent Cruz in five separate fundraising period, including the most recent period, when he brought in double what Cruz did, without taking any money from super-PACs or special interest groups.

Current polls show O’Rourke to be within single-digit striking range of the Republican Cruz.
