Which High Plains State Is The Most Overweight?

According to a recent study ranking America’s fattest state’s, some High Plains states may want to consider changing their eating habits.

The personal finance website Wallethub comparedthe 50 states and the District of Columbia across 29 key metrics, from share of the population that is overweight, to adolescent sugary-beverage consumption, to obesity-related health care costs.

When it comes to staying slim and trim, Colorado far outperformed the other states in the HPPR region. In fact, Colorado was second only to Utah when it comes to resident fitness and slim waistlines.

On the other side of the list, Oklahoma was shown to have the 6th fattest residents among all states. Kansas is the 15th most overweight state, and Texas is just behind Kansas at number 16. At number 27, Nebraska is near the middle of the pack.

Mississippi was shown to be the overall fattest state in the US.
