Some of the largest counties in Kansas are ordering residents to “stay at home” starting Tuesday.
Among them are Johnson, Wyandotte, Douglas, and Leavenworth Counties.
The orders direct people to stay inside unless they’re buying food, exercising at a healthy distance from others, going to the doctor, or taking care of other necessities.
“Essential businesses” like grocery stores, post offices, pharmacies, gas stations, and others will stay open.
The orders will be in effect until April 23.
UPDATE: Doniphan and Miami counties followed suit. Residents should stay in unless they’re getting health care or groceries, or doing other essential activities.
