New book about “In Cold Blood” murders won’t be Capote’s version

An upcoming book could give new insight into the 1959 murders of the Clutter family near Holcomb, Kansas.  A recent ruling allows the state detective’s son to publish his father’s personal notes.

Ronald Nye says his book will contradict Truman Capote’s “In Cold Blood,” reports the Kansas City Star.

Nye didn’t reveal much more about the western Kansas killings, except to say, “They arrested the right murderers and executed them for the right reasons.”

Nye’s father Harold passed away in 2003.
