There are 48 statewide candidates who have filed, or say they are going to run for office in Texas. 10 agreed to release their last three tax returns according to the Texas Tribune.
State officials aren’t required to disclose tax returns, and some say they believe the contents are private. However, Gov. Rick Perry released his returns during previous gubernatorial runs, and Attorney General Greg Abbott and Sen. Wendy Davis have follow suit.
