Sanders, Trump Jr. to Campaign in Colorado Tonight

Surrogates for both major presidential campaigns will appear in Colorado today as the race enters the homestretch, reports KUSA. GOP nominee Donald J. Trump has dispatched his son Donald Jr. to the Centennial State, while Bernie Sanders has been sent forth by the Clinton camp. Both will speak in Boulder on Monday night.

The Sanders appearance comes on the heels of a Colorado event held last night at which the Vermont Senator drew 2,000 people. This evening, Sanders is expected to promote passage of Amendment 69, which would create a statewide system for financing and administering health care for residents.

Meanwhile, Trump Jr. hopes to stanch the bleeding the Trump campaign has experienced in the state as of late. In the latest poll, the former Secretary of State leads the New York billionaire by eight percentage points.
