Oklahoma and Texas Drivers Among America's Worst

Oklahoma and Texas residents are among the worst drivers in the US, according to a new study.As SmartAsset.com reports, the Lone Star State has the ninth worst drivers in America. Meanwhile, Oklahoma fared even worse, ranking third.

Texas has the highest percentage of deaths coming from drunk drivers, at 40%.

And Oklahoma has the lowest percentage of insured drivers. Only 74% of drivers in Oklahoma are insured. The state also scored poorly in DUIs per thousand drivers, number of people killed in accidents per thousand drivers, and rate of parking and traffic tickets.

Florida was found to have the worst drivers in America, and Mississippi is second.

Colorado falls at number 21 on the list, and Kansas and Nebraska escaped landing in the top 25.
