While I’m a little miffed that he didn’t bring me any beer, David Palmer of Chamber Music Amarillo stopped by High Plains Morning today. This Saturday night, March 7th, CMA presents “German Giants,” the fifth concert of the current season, featuring sonatas by Bach and Brahms. Not only will the harpsichord make an appearance, so will the viola de gamba – thanks to Jim Rauscher and Emanuel Lopez, respectively. They’ll be joined by Rossitza Goza on violin and David Palmer himself on piano. Will Murphy, the Executive Director of High Plains Public Radio, will host the pre-concert lecture with WT Music Professor (and author of the CMA program notes) Kimberly Heib at 6:45 pm; the concert begins at 7:30 pm. The CMA’s Fibonacci Space is located at 3306 Southwest 6th Avenue in Amarillo.
