Texas had a perfect score. Austin scored a 100. Lubbock, McAllen, Mesquite, and Irving received zeroes.
Amarillo was included in the survey, scoring a 14.
Over 350 cities were ranked.
The national average was 59 out of 100 possible points.
The MEI Index was based on 47 criteria with categories like non-discriminatory laws, relationship recognition, law enforcement, and employment policies.
Overall, the highest ranking scores were found in New England and Mid-Atlantic and Western regions. The lowest scores were in the Southwest and Southeast.
