KZNA-FM 90.5 serving northwest Kansas is operating at just 10% power using a back up transmitter while work continues to install a new transmitter. It is hoped that this work will completed within the next few days with KZNA back to its full 100,000 watts of power with a state of the art transmitter to serve the area for many years to come.
If you can't receive KZNA at its reduced power, you can listen via the digital stream directly above or on the HPPR mobile app. For questions please contact station staff at (800) 678-7444 or by emailing hppr@hppr.org

Live Out Loud: LGBT+ Panel at WTAMU on Sunday

Thanks to Jill Ludington for stopping by High Plains Morning today to share info about her event, LIVE OUT LOUD, which is this Sunday, February 24th at WTAMU’s Branding Iron Theatre at 3:30p. This panel discussion and storytelling session is an opportunity for folks across the TX panhandle to engage with local leaders from the LGBT+ community. “This is an opportunity for members of the LGBT+ community, their family, friends, and allies to come to together,” Jill says. It’s a free event, so come hear from folks who live and work in our region as they share their experiences of coming out and how they learned to thrive despite challenges. A Q&A Session will follow.

The panel will feature:

Joel Miller, WTAMU Student

Sandra Dunn, Founding member of Transgender Education Network

Mandi Guffy, AISD Speech therapist

Joshua Gibson & Whitney Kelly, Equality Texas

Jason Crespin, ALT Academy

They will follow with refreshments and a group mural, created by attendees—so leave your mark by painting on the canvas. The final mural will be framed and donated to Buff Allies/Spectrum Organizations. For more info, contact Jill Ludington at 806 681-1993, or email her. You can also find this event on Facebook here.
