Friday Night Blues
Fridays from 8:00 PM to midnight CT on HPPR
Friday Night Blues began as a two-hour program called Blues After Hours. It soon evolved into the four-hour program it currently is. It showcases the talents of blues musicians from classic performers, such as Watermelon Slim, B.B. King, and Muddy Waters, to contemporary artists like James Hunter, Susan Tedeschi, and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Nowadays, you'll find the blues pouring out over four states and online with a great blend of old school and new school spun in a careful web by Brother T-Bone every Friday night. Tune in to HPPR on Fridays for the very best in live, studio and rare recordings of the blues. Any way you at it, Friday night blues is a soulful blend of blue note music to ease you into the weekend.
