Best & Worst States for Working Moms

In the world of working moms the High Plains region spans the center of a survey of equality and support for mothers to hold their own in the workplace. With Kansas, Texas and Oklahoma ranking in the mid to low range at number 24, 33 and 42 respectively as the best and worst states for working moms.

"Workplace inequality is important not only in the spirit of a merit-based economy, but also for deeply ingrained social reasons. For instance, should women have to choose between career and family?" According to the authors of the survey conducted by WalletHub.com.

Some questions raised by the survey include, What can companies do to help working parents balance home and work life? What can state and local governments do to support working mothers? And what needs to be done to promote gender equality in the workplace?
