A Cornucopia Of Edible Curiosities At The Texas State Fair

The State Fair of Texas gets underway next week in Dallas, and every year the list of edible oddities seems to get stranger.

And that’s no mean feat, as it will be hard to top last year’s deep-fried Doritos bacon mozzarella cheese stick.

Eater.com has published a list of some of the more unusual offerings this year. When visiting the fair, you can start off with a funnel cake bacon queso burger, and follow that up with deep-fried chicken noodle soup on a stick, deep-fried Fruit Loops, and Oreo-flavored beer.

After that, why not attempt to enjoy pinot noir popcorn, and something called a ramen grasshopper cookie. If that’s not enough, why not indulge in a Fried Cheesecake Stuffed Apple Sundae?

And if you’re still alive, why not finish yourself off with a tamale donut?

Visitors are advised to learn the location of the first aid tent before enjoying these tasty treats.
