Between 2012 and 2013, 11.7 percent of the population moved according to the U.S. Census Bureau.  About a third of those moved because of “family-related reasons,” the Wall Street Journal reported.

To help families who are considering a move, Wallet Hub released a list ranking 150 cities.  The rankings were based on factors like family fun, safety, affordability, education, child care, and the social and economic environment of the city.

Amarillo is number 10 on the list according to a recent story from Deseret News.  It also ranked ninth for education and child care and 10th for affordability.
