KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at very reduced power and signal range using a back-up transmitter. This is because of complicated problems with its very old primary transmitter. Local engineers are currently working on that transmitter and consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR mix service or HPPR connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

Oklahoma Charity Supports Struggling Teachers

feedthechildren.org

It’s no secret that Oklahoma’s public education system has faced some critical challenges in recent years. Luckily, Feed The Children and its corporate sponsors like Whataburger are well aware of the struggles of Oklahoma’s teachers.

That’s why Feed the Children has opened warehouses in Oklahoma City to provide much-needed school supplies to teachers. Since 2011, reports KFOR,Feed The Children has hosted a "Teacher Store" where qualifying school districts can load up on textbooks, pens and spiral notebooks.

“It's almost like Black Friday shopping,” said Kim Shockley, a second grade teacher. “It's a good thing. No fights.” Thanks to the charity organization and its sponsors, 2,000-plus teachers will be better prepared when the 2016 school year opens.
