KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at very reduced power and signal range using a back-up transmitter. This is because of complicated problems with its very old primary transmitter. Local engineers are currently working on that transmitter and consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR mix service or HPPR connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

Will Black Friday Become "Black November"?

Reuters/NBC News

Black Friday may soon be a thing of the past on the High Plains, as in the rest of the country.

As NBC News reports,Black Friday is slowly being replaced by what many retailers are referring to as “Black November.” And some of the deals that consumers have come to expect on Friday are already available. For example, Amazon launched its Black Friday store last Tuesday.

The Black November idea allows consumers to spread their spending out over a longer period. This is good news for cash-strapped shoppers, and those who simply want to relax and enjoy Thanksgiving and December with family. Products that are already available at sharply reduced prices include laptops, beauty products, and wedding dresses.
