KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at very reduced power and signal range using a back-up transmitter. This is because of complicated problems with its very old primary transmitter. Local engineers are currently working on that transmitter and consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR mix service or HPPR connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

Denver: Historic Brown Palace is For Sale

Brown Palace Hotel

The historic Brown Palace Hotel, in downtown Denver, is for sale. This is only the fourth time its been on the market since opening more than a century ago according to a recent feature of Colorado Matters.

It’s a beautiful building with a fabled history, but it’s also a business.  Colorado Matters Program Host, Ryan Warner talks with Debra Faulkner, the hotel’s historian and Mike Cahill, CEO of Hospitality Real Estate Counselors, a national hotel advisory company, based in Greenwood Village.

They discuss the hotel’s price tag, who the buyer(s) could be, as well as some of the stories that give “The Brown” a special corner in Colorado history.
