KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at very reduced power and signal range using a back-up transmitter. This is because of complicated problems with its very old primary transmitter. Local engineers are currently working on that transmitter and consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR mix service or HPPR connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

Robert J. Dole Exhibit

Robert J. Dole Exhibit

The Finney County Historical Museum in Garden City is featuring a new short-term exhibit in the Front Door Gallery that focuses on the life and career of Robert J. Dole, who died in December as one of the best-known Kansans in history. Entitled “Bob Dole, One of the greatest of the Greatest Generation,” the exhibit incorporates many of the Russell native’s connections to Southwest Kansas, plus his dedication to the Sunflower State, his nearly three dozen years in Congress, his presidential aspirations, his World War II heroism and the way he overcame lifetime disabilities resulting from severe wounds sustained in combat. The Front Door Gallery is a small space inside the museum’s main entrance at 403 S. Fourth Street, adjacent to the pedestrian arches at Lee Richardson Zoo. Admission is free and viewing hours run from 1 to 5 p.m. seven days weekly. The exhibit is expected to remain in place through mid-March.
