KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at 15% of power, limiting its signal strength and range in the Amarillo-Canyon area. This due to complicated problems with its very old transmitter. Local engineers are continuing to work on the transmitter and are consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR Mix service or HPPR Connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

Perry Not Running: Panhandle Reacts

rickperry.org

Rick Perry announced that his hat will not be in the ring for the race to be the next Governor of Texas.  The Amarillo Globe reported mixed reactions to the declaration.

Economically, Mayor Paul Harpole isn't sure Amarillo's success is because of the governor or the lieutenant governor.   Tom Mechler, an Amarillo oil and gas operator, says the governor's probusiness influence is evident all over the state.

The abortion legislation is a hot topic out on the street.  Renea Dauntes is happy Perry is not running, but James Konig admires the stand he took on a moral belief.
